2. There is an internal temperature gradient in the YAG laser rod during the working process, which will cause thermal stress and thermal lens effect, limiting the further improvement of the average power and beam quality of the YAG laser;

3.The maintenance of YAG laser is troublesome, the structure is complex, and the cost is relatively high.

QCW laser welding machine  uses fiber laser, while YAG photoelectric conversion is only 3%, QCW fiber is generally 25-30%.

Fiber lasers have a service life of up to 100,000 hours, so the only consumables are protective lenses

What are protective lenses used for?

Protective lenses' main function is to protect the focusing lens on the welding machine. Do you have a laser welding machine? During laser welding, do you see there are sparks? If there is no protective lens, the sparks will splash onto the focusing lens, causing damage to the focusing lens.

Therefore, a protective lens is installed in front of the focusing lens to block these metal splashes. When metal droplets splash onto the lens, it may cause damage to the protective lens, not the focusing lens. Focusing lenses cost much more than protective lenses.
